WESTSIDE — On what appeared to be a controversial non-call, the AHSTW Vikings were able to put up a shot in the final seconds of the game to lift them to a victory over the Woodbine Tigers.

Some Tiger fans wanted an over the back call with time literally running out, but did not get it.

Instead, the Vikings were able to put up that shot and win 63-61 over Woodbine in the quarterfinal round of the IHSAA Class 1A District 15 Basketball Tournament February 14.

Sophomore Layne Pryor went 8-15 from the floor and had 25 points along with eight rebounds. Senior Alex Bantam went 4-4 from the field and scored 10 points.

Overall, the Tigers ended up 12-9 on the season and 10-6 in the Rolling Valley Conference.
