In area high school basketball action Tuesday night, January 7, the Logan-Magnolia Lady Panthers were handed their second loss of the season.

IKM-Manning beat Lo-Ma 64-58, where the last three and half minutes was a lot of fouling and free throw shots.

That drops the Lady Panthers to 8-2 overall and 5-2 in the Western Iowa Conference.

The top two score leaders for Lo-Ma were seniors, Kylie Morrison with 17 and Violet Lapke with 14. Junior Emilie Thompson had 13 points.

The Lady Tigers of Woodbine were victorious over Ar-We-Va 41-37. That snapped their five-game losing streak.

Overall, the Woodbine girls are 3-7 and 3-4 in the Rolling Valley Conference.

As for the Lo-Ma boys, they dropped their game to IKM-Manning by a final of 54-49.

With the loss, the Panthers are now 4-5 overall and 2-5 in the Western Iowa Conference.

Finally, the Woodbine boys are now back at .500 overall and in the Rolling Valley Conference with records of 5-5 and 3-3, respectively.

They beat Ar-We-Va 59-40. Sophomore Cory Bantam led the way in scoring with 16 points.
