Roseann K. Brummer, age 93, of Logan, Iowa passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Creighton Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Neb.

Roseann was born June 27, 1925 in Portsmouth to Jake and Elizabeth (Vicarius) Skalla.

She was raised in Portsmouth with her five brothers, LaVere, Albert, Robert, Vincent, Edwin and two sisters, Helen and Sylvia.

On February 22, 1943, she married Jerome (Red) Brummer. They resided in Woodbine until they moved to Logan in 1975. She was a member of Saint Anne’s Catholic Church.

She worked throughout her life, her last employment being with Logan-Magnolia School Food Services at the grade school in Logan. She loved working and always liked to keep busy.

She was a great mother and friend to all of her children. She was a very loving, kind, generous and giving person who always put herself last. You will truly be missed, Mom, by us all. We love you always and forever. Your Family

Roseann is preceded in death by her husband Red and son, Jerry.

She is survived by her children, Sandy Lightwine and husband Don of Omaha, Neb.; Bill Brummer and wife Kim of Omaha, Neb.; Debbie Ostronic and husband Jim of Omaha, Neb.; and Ron Brummer and wife Kris of Omaha, Neb.; along with nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.

Visitation was April 12 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Logan.

Everyone was invited to a lunch and fellowship immediately following the service.
