Loni Yvonne Harper was born September 11, 1957, to Francis and Iris (Edwards) Harper, Jr. in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She grew up on a farm near Woodbine, Iowa.
She graduated from the Woodbine High School in 1976. She worked on the family farm in the area, locally known as Bigler’s Grove until she moved to Denver, Colorado.
She returned to Omaha in 1990 where she lived with her close friend, Mary Carpenter, for twenty-eight years. She was employed by First Data and Kellogg’s until her health failed.
Loni was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints. More recently she worshipped at the Church of Jesus Christ, Restoration Branch, in Woodbine.
Loni never hesitated to share her testimony. She loved everyone. She never met a stranger. All who knew her, loved her.
Loni died on August 13, 2018, at her home in Omaha, at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 2 days.
Loni is survived by her parents; sister, Terri Lyn and husband Alan Ronk; her brother Marc Harper and wife Andrea, all of Woodbine, and her close friend, Mary Carpenter of Omaha.
Per her wishes, her remains were cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Time and place to be announced, tentatively planned for the weekend before Thanksgiving.
