Sharon LaMoyne Hammack was born on March 31, 1937 to loving parents Ralph and Mary (Moore) Hammack in Woodbine, Iowa.
There were two older sisters Betty Lou and Marilyn and later son Gary. The children all attended and graduated from Woodbine Public Schools and attended and married their spouses at the Woodbine Methodist Church.
Sharon met Larry William Park at school, and they were high school sweethearts. They were married in 1956 and moved to Omaha, Neb.
To this union, one son Michael Lynn and three daughters: Debra Jo, Kimberly Sue, and Amy Ann. Kimberly passed away shortly after birth from congenital heart disease.
Sharon and Larry raised their family in Council Bluffs where they were involved in Boy and Girl Scouts. Sharon was a working mom and was also involved in troop leadership as well as a Sunday school teacher for nine years.
Every July, the family would take a vacation, camping, hiking, canoeing as they visited every state west of the Mississippi River as well as many national parks.
Sharon loved crocheting, antiquing, and spending time with her grandkids. She was active in the Methodist Church and was also a hospital volunteer. In 1977, work took the family to Fresno, Calif., where Sharon worked for Fresno Unified Schools as an office manager.
On March 12 of this year, Sharon passed away following a long illness.
Preceded in death were her parents; infant daughter, Kimberly; husband, Larry, and sister, Betty Lou Foeckler.
She is survived by her son Michael (Deb) Park of Woodbine; daughter Deb (Mick) Krmpotic of Phoenix Ariz. and daughter Amy Park Sanders of San Francisco, Calif.; five grandchildren: Kim (Ryan Hoffmann) Krmpotic, Keeley Park, Jill Krmpotic, Spencer Park Sanders, and Shelby Park Sanders. Sharon is also survived by her sister Marilyn (Lloyd) Swift of Logan; brother Gary (Donna) of Lincoln, Neb and sister-in-law Janet Park (John) Mock of Madisonville, Texas.
Sharon will be buried in the Woodbine cemetery at a later date.
