WOODBINE -- Repair work has been started on the Lincoln Way Street project in Woodbine.
The Woodbine City Council held an emergency meeting September 26 to discuss an issue with the Lincoln Way Street project that spans the whole project, from Seventh Street to 11th Street.
The outer quarter panel of pavement, six and half feet on each side, did not have the correct slope as indicated in the plans. This is on both sides of the street, Forch said.
City officials unanimously voted at that Sept. 26 meeting to have the outer six and a half feet of pavement with curb and gutter removed and repoured again so it would achieve the correct slope.
Carley Construction, of Council Bluffs, completed the project is doing the repair work as well.
