WOODBINE — A request to create another student worker position at minimum wage to work in the Woodbine Tiger Tots/Latchkey rooms was tabled by the Woodbine School Board at their regular meeting Feb. 10.

The Board tabled the request because they wanted Faith Hamblin, director of the program, to create a plan complete with figures showing if and how the program could add another employee when it already had three full-time workers, including Hamblin, and five part-time employees, one of those being a student.

Plus, the program is currently working on trying to reduce a deficit currently sitting at nearly $80,000, an amount that has grown to this number since Hamblin stepped into her position.

During an interview with Hamblin February 12, she explained how she got to the point of wanting to request another employee.
