Decor was recently put up in each of the downtowns in Logan and Woodbine making them ready for not only the upcoming Christmas celebrations but the Christmas season, too.

Shiverfest in Logan is this Friday, November 30. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there and a soup supper, sponsored by the local Boy Scouts troop, runs from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge. There are many other activities as well.

Woodbine's "Bright Lights, Little City" Christmas celebration is Saturday, December 8.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be back in this area. And you can have breakfast with them at the Roundy Center from 9:00 a.m. to noon! You can also take part in a community cookie walk among other fun things to do.

In Logan, more than two dozen wreaths were put up November 21 by a crew of city employees.

They line Highway 30, within city limits, as well as the section of Fourth Avenue between Highway 30 and Sixth Street and Sixth Street between Fourth Avenue and Highway 127, also known as Second Avenue.

There are also 10 Christmas trees in the Logan City Park that will be decorated Thursday, November 29 by various classes from the Logan-Magnolia Elementary School.

In Woodbine, more than a dozen wreaths were hung downtown by staff from Woodbine Municipal Light & Power.

There are also two sets of "Seasons Greetings" banners hung in two spots near the main entrance into Woodbine.
